About Think Fast
Self-run team trivia for offices and remote teams. One person sets it up in about five minutes, everyone plays on the phone already in their pocket, and the whole event costs one flat price instead of a fee per head.
Real emcees are good at their job and charge accordingly. You also have to schedule a stranger into a calendar that already could not agree on a meeting time.
The big quiz platforms are built for teachers. They work, technically. But you are buying a year of software for one December party, and it reminds the room of a pop quiz.
The person who got voluntold runs it themselves, pays once, and it looks like a game show rather than a training module. That is the entire idea.
The one people question first. Multiple choice lets everybody guess, so someone who knows nothing lands 25% and the room learns nothing. Typing is harder, which is the point: getting it right feels like getting it right. Spelling is forgiven, so nobody loses on a typo.
Per-person pricing punishes you for inviting people, which is a strange thing to do to a team event. A 40-person event costs the same as a 12-person one. No seat math before you buy, no invoice surprise if more people turn up.
Up to 8 players, no sign-up, no time limit, no card. It does not expire and it does not degrade. The paid passes add a bigger room, rounds about your own company, big-screen mode, and your logo on the screen.
Marketing pages have analytics, because we need to know if the marketing works. The pages where people actually play do not. Nobody consented to being measured because their manager started a trivia game. It is written into our privacy policy.
Over 6,500 questions across 25 categories. Anything that goes stale on its own, such as populations, sports records, or who currently runs a company, was left out. A question that was true when written and wrong at your event is worse than no question.
Automated answer-matching is good, not perfect. So the host can overrule it mid-game: mark an answer correct, or nudge a score. Live trivia has always needed a referee, and pretending otherwise just makes the room argue with a computer.
Think Fast is built and run independently. It is a product of Rudiment LLC, a company registered in California and based in San Francisco.
There is no venture funding and no sales team. Support email goes to the people who make the thing, which has one obvious downside: we are small. It also has an upside, which is that a bug reported on Tuesday tends to be fixed on Tuesday, and a question flagged as wrong gets corrected rather than filed.
Reach us at support@playthinkfast.com. Refunds are unconditional within 7 days, which is the shortest way we know to say we would rather give the money back than have you feel stuck with it.
